The Miss Silver Series
Another series completed! We now have a complete collection of the Miss Silver mystery series by Patricia Wentworth. All 32 of her books are available on Faded Page. The latest book is Danger Point (#4 in the series). It is about Miss Silver, helping a young heiress whose newly acquired fortune puts her in fatal danger. Miss Silver sleuths to find the culprits who want to endanger the life of the young woman.
Maud Silver, the main protagonist in the series, is well known in the better circles of society, and she finds entree to the troubled households of the upper classes with little difficulty. She works closely with Scotland Yard, especially Inspector Frank Abbott, and is fond of quoting the poet Tennyson. Miss Silver is sometimes compared to Miss Marple, the elderly detective created by Agatha Christie.
