Volumes of Bare Minimum

There are desires to take pictures of the grass, or maybe crown you with flowers,

Arriving a little late, fashionably, in pawned slim fits from a laundromat,

There is the signing in, annoyance of others’ missteps, and we’re sat,

Albeit between picture taking, loose chatter, meals, empty showers,

We are no better off,

I try to take care of you only for you to be nicer to other people,

I must admit the photos of us are nice, but the poor quality of my solo shots is not subtle,

Now it’s too late to call it off,

Returning to the slowness and the pain,

Ashamed and tainted, understimulated,

Talented and distracted, underwhelmed,

Writing things down, exercise gains…
