Your then & now story
Write a short narrative about changing habits. Your ideas matter as much as the structures.
Ask a partner what life was like five years ago and what has changed. Include a turning point: what was happening when something changed? If you are studying alone, invent a person or use your own experience.
Use the checklist to review your work before saving. The pattern finder gives possible clues, not a grammar grade. A teacher or partner should review meaning and accuracy.
Five years ago, today, and one turning point
Write 60–120 words about a person whose habits have changed. Include two used to/use to structures, two past-continuous structures, when or while, and a past time marker. Include at least one past-simple event. Real or imagined stories are welcome.
Pattern finder · clues, not a grade
Simple text matches may miss good examples or count incorrect ones. You and your teacher decide whether the English is accurate.
Completion rewards participation, not grammar accuracy. You can revise your draft at any time.
