I was so nervous,

Just as that night.
I wanted to kiss you on the cheek,
I startled you instead,
As if I was a big enough fool.

I knew I was nervous,
I could barely speak.
You were patient,
As if I were 20,

All night if need be.
I was so lost in you,
I lost my songs.

You stole my cool on the Malecon.
