You said you couldn’t keep waiting,
For me to say “I Love You Too”.
But I’d said it to you everyday,
In ways you never knew.
It poured over the umbrella,
That I held for you under the rain.
It was caught in the way I kissed your forehead,
Just to take away the pain.
Baked in the cake I bought you,
When I gave you the biggest slice.
And when you told me you loved it?
I saved up and bought it for you twice.
It was buckled it in seat belt,
I always told you to put on.
It was in the way I missed you,
When you were gone.
Even though you called me some.
I might not have said those four words,
In the old fashioned way.
But I’d learnt actions speak louder than words,
Than anything you can say.
So if you’re really tired of waiting,
For those four words to leave my throat,
All I can say is…
“Its cold outside, don’t forget your coat.”
